Research & Development
Overview
Besides its business activities, Cycleco is heavily involved in the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) research and development.
As a LCA and Methodologies for assessing impacts on ecosystem researcher, Dr Jérôme Payet brings Cycleco a solid background on R&D concerns.
This is very important for Cycleco, as the LCA is a new activity (1970: Firsts energy balances) that is being developped through the activities of worldwide known specialized research centers.
This peculiarity allows CYCLECO to have a solid expertise in conducting LCA and Eco Design studies including the consideration of toxicological and ecotoxicological impacts.
Methodological research in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is focused on the modeling of impacts on human health and ecosystems. It is possible to make methodological proposals wrapping innovative and constructive impacts on human health or ecosystems in LCA, in accordance with internationally approved methods.
Also, CYCLECO is directly involved in the development of models to assess impacts in LCA, in particular concerning the IMPACT 2002 + and the USEtox model (UNEP-SETAC Toxicity model). This expertise is crucial to the consideration of impacts on human health and ecosystems.
